Isidor Fuhn‘s fashion and clothing store La Pomul de Aur was situated on the very famous commercial street of Lipscani in Bucharest, Romania (Lipscani meaning Leipzig in Romanian). Most of the stores in that street imported articles or goods from Leipzig, thus the name.

This advertising card, the only Romanian one, is the 36th one reported and 23rd publisher of the La Poste series on Haiti. It was printed like some others in Paris by La Lithographie Parisiènne. The BACS code for this card is 2760-001.

A La Grande Maison, millinery, 44th card

The latest card found in the Haiti series was published by a millinery company in France named A La Grande Maison. It makes it the 44th card and the 30th publisher to be reported. The company apparently had stores in Paris, Lyon, Marseille and Lille. That would have covered the largest cities of France.

The card’s BACS code is 0015-001. Judging by the information on the back of the advertising card (small size, as oppose to postcard size), the company specialized as a hatter.

Kathreiner Kneipp Malzkaffee

This is the first German card known or reported. It is of the advertising size and format. Kathreiner is a very famous coffee-house still in existence. The BACS code for that card is 3610-001.

Grands Magasins de la Ville de Saint-Denis

This new entry from the La Poste à Haiti series was published by the Grands Magasins de la Ville de Saint-Denis in Paris. This postcard code in BACS is 2835-001. Published circa 1900

Chocolat L. Revault

This advertising card was published by Chocolat L. Revault in France. Its BACS code is 1486-001. It was printed by the Lithographie Parisienne.

2nd Chicorée Arlatte & Cie

Another advertising postcard has been found from the La Poste à Haiti series. It looks very similar to the other Chicorée Arlatte card (BACS 1455-001). The & in the title of this card is a different font and placed on top of Cie instead of before it. This postcard’s code in BACS is 1455-002. Published around circa 1900.

Below is the other Chicorée Arlatte postcard. It has a BACS number of 1455-001. The & in the title is the difference with the other postcard.

Both postcards have the same back with the 10 centimes (to pay) in the stamp box.

Au Musée de Cluny: 40th advertising card

Here is the latest card that has been found. This brings the total of cards recorded to 40. The Musée de Cluny in Paris edited the postcard. It has the Kunzli brothers as the printing-house on the left side of the card. It is a postcard size format as oppose to the smaller advertising size. This card has a BACS code of 5570-001. Other than Haiti, China is the only country to have a card reported from that publisher.

Eau Minérale Naturelle de St-Galmier

This advertising card (smaller than a postcard) from the natural spring water of St-Galmier. 17 other countries have been reported from this publisher. The BACS code for this card is 2576-001. Like some of the other advertising cards with Haiti, the back of it is a very brief summary of Haiti’s postal history.
